Launched in 2006, this annual event brings the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem together. The Entrepreneurial Drive draws hundreds of prominent business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, social stars and media, and raises thousands of dollars for regional non-profit organizations and universities. The unique ‘tee box presentations’ by startup companies is the main attraction, showcasing a rich field of promising companies right on the course.
- Regional technology, professional services and manufacturing companies sponsor and play in the Tournament to strengthen their brands in the community and build their networks.
- Investors play golf to gain easy access to a suite of new companies, listening to pitches right on the hole.
- Start-up companies and university students line-up to gain exposure to investors, business leaders and high-caliber talent, and of course for a chance to win the $4,500 best company prize.
- Universities and non-profits help promote the event with their students/constituents, support day-of activities and put the proceeds of the tournament to good use.
The day begins with BBQ lunch in a tradeshow-like atmosphere, then a shotgun start, with food, beverages and the unique ‘tee box company presentations’ at every hole. The day ends with $1 million hole-in-one shot, followed by a sponsored Awards Dinner with invited guests.
